'Messianic' comes from the word Messiah, the Hebrew word for Christ. 'Messianic' and 'Christian', should therefore mean the same thing and could be used interchangeably. In the Jewish mind, anyone who is not Jewish is automatically a 'Christian'. For this reason, Jews who have come to believe in Jesus commonly refer to themselves as 'Messianic Jews', to differentiate between nominal Christianity and real saving faith.

We respect beloved brothers and sisters who are sound in doctrine and have adopted the term 'Messianic Jews' and we do not believe that it is wrong for those who wish to adopt this title. However, the term 'Messianic Jews' has been used by some to make too much of a distinction between Jewish and Gentile believers, to the point that one might think that Jewish believers have a different faith. This is especially the case when Gentile believers are referred to as 'Gentile Christians' while Jewish believers are termed 'Messianic Jews'. For this reason, we prefer to go by names such as 'believers in Jesus', 'Christian believers' and for Jewish believers in particular, the terms 'Jewish believer' or 'Christian Jew'. These terms we believe, make it more clear that there is only one faith, emphasising the God-given unity made by Jesus the Messiah between Jew and Gentile.

Often, but not always, the term 'Messianic Jews' is associated with Jewish believers who keep to Jewish traditions and who prefer the terminology of 'rabbi' over 'pastor', 'synagogue' over 'church' etc. While we understand the will to preserve Jewish identity and be a witness to Jewish brethren, still an overemphasis on Jewish traditions and customs can take your focus off of Christ and Him crucified.

There is only one guitar playing on Ronu Shamayim, a Takamine EC136C. Only the song, 'Yesh Li Otcha Yeshua' has a second guitar joining in at the second verse.

Professional solo guitar recordings pick up the sound produced by finger movements. It's perfectly natural.

With God's help, within the next few years, but it will not be the same. First of all, it will not be instrumental; there will be singing (a variety of singers). Secondly, I would like a few instruments to play, not only one. The songs will be in Hebrew only, and it will be a selection of known Israeli praise songs and translated Church hymns. Please pray for God's leading on this if you can, it's no easy business.

Did you know that Jesus is called 'The True God and Eternal Life'?

'The True God and Eternal Life' is one of Jesus' titles in Scripture. But some have attempted to attack that wonderful truth. Read a detailed defence of it right here.
