Zamru Lo! (Praise Him!)

In a celebration of praise to God and His Son Yeshua HaMashiach (Jesus the Christ), Israeli believing artists, both Jewish and Gentile, flocked to Jerusalem to play and sing what turned out to be one of the best and most well produced worship CDs to come from the Christian/Messianic community in Israel.

These well orchestrated songs are a delight to listen to, starting from Baruch Ata Adonai (Blessed Art thou O Lord) and up to Ki Gadol Ata (For Thou Art Great). Apart from Yeshua Yakar Mikol (Yeshua Dearest of All), and Echra Berech (I shall bow the Knee) which are both songs of love and worship to Yeshua, the songs are almost entirely direct quotations from the Psalms, Isaiah, Jeremiah, Hosea, Micah, Romans, Corinthians, Ephesians, and even Deuteronomy and Chronicles, and are all entirely in Hebrew!

The style of songs is authentically Jewish/Israeli, and very enjoyable. Whether the songs be ones of worship and praise, encouragement, lament (Jeremiah) or comfort, the tunes always fit the lyrics as though the Psalmist himself composed them, and the beautifully arranged violins and viola, cello, guitar, piano, trumpet, flute, bass and drums, all serve the purpose of reverentially giving praise to God and our Lord Jesus, together with an excellent choir production.

Amongst other composers on this album are David Loden (also the executive producer), Elisheva Shomron, Chuck King and Zipporah Bennett, all of whom are leading Messianic composers. The producer is Ann Hilsden. The singers are all local Israelis from a variety of congregations in Israel.

Highly recommended CD! (I have one myself!)

All songs include translation, references and transliteration of texts.

Total Run Time: Approx 55 minutes, on 16 songs.
